This word means air weapons are firing plastic round bullets, with low energy, and the team-, war-games we usually play with them. On the outside airsoft weapons are the same as the original (real-steel) weapons, but the inside of them differ totally. Their effective energy are tipically 0.5-3.3 Joule, so they do not reach the own-free air guns limitation of 7.5 Joule or the energy of the paintball markers of maximum 15 J as in the hungarian laws. The "BB" round bullet does not paint your ass :) So the gamer who was hit has to indicate the hit by himself. The airsoft relies on honour, sportmanship of the participants. It derives airsoft to a serious hobby, not a sport game, like paintball.
Airsoft players do not stand for political, semi-political organizations, religion or ethnical groups. Airsoft is similar to paintball, secure, violence-free, and is a strategic and tactical game. It is played by thousands of people all over the world. Airsoft does not want to celebrate war and conflicts, does not simulates reality, it is only a game. Airsoft weapons can be held freely in countries where the own of real weapons are controlled by strict laws.

MilSim is an abbreviation of MilitarySimulation.There are many applications of MilSim: airsoft games, paintball games, military training, and video games simulating military scenarios and tactics.
Weapons used in MilSim are commonly airsoft or paintball guns. Airsoft guns are used more often in MilSim than paintball guns due to their availability as replica weapons without any modification. Paintball guns commonly require modification to be considered a replica; the basic components of paintball guns often inhibit the ability to convert them to replica weapons such as the hopper or gas tank. These components can be hidden or modified such that they do not interfere with the appearance of the gun.[1]
MilSim most often falls into two different categories: reenactment and simulation. Reenactments focus on a particular event in history and aim to provide the most accurate representation of the time period, events and outcomes of the historical event. Simulation however may only focus on a particular time period and representation of which course a particular situation may have taken in history. In most cases a simulation event includes fictitious characters, groups and political situations.[2]

Our Team :

 After much talking and great enthusaism our team was created with just four people from Wexford and Wicklow, the oldest being  37 years old and youngest 16 years old.

 A month later we have four more on the Team  (Old Airsoft players) from Dublin.  We are based in Macreddin village area of Aughrim Co. Wicklow.  So far we have been on the battlefield every weekend.  We are hoping to get more and more Teams to join us in Battle every weekend  “Hail Rain Or Snow”.

NEW AIRSOFT RANGE

We are creating a new Airsoft Course for Enthuaisists in the East/Southeast Region of Ireland. We will be working very hard to always have something Different for our Players.  We can only do this with the support of other Teams and Airsofters.
